KOŠICE
Next stop
We arrived here at evening, so we first saw KOŠICE during NIGHT
and it was worth more than in daylight for me.
The main street is really amazing at night, those lights were everywhere, I don't have every building here but it's just Whoa.
In the first photo there is The State Theatre, the next one is Tourist Info Centre and the last one is just an ordinary building next to Palace Csáky-Dezőfi.
I must confess that there is much more interesting buildings but I don't have a single photo of them, because they weren't visible.
Something a little bit different took all mine attention....
St. Elisabeth Cathedral
Here is SOMETHING that takes my breath out.
I love the Gothic architecture and this is exactly what I imagine by the Gothic.
It was all so dark, scary and beautiful at once.
And those lights, OH YES, that really was perfection. Oh. Soulfulness.
There were about 5 or 6 changing colours so it looked very good, especially the red one.
( Do you like vapmires ? That red one reminded me of them immediately )
It also have Gargoyles, for me it was the best part of the St. Elisabeth Cathedral.
Yeah, lights are the best.
Okay, back to daylight.
Košice in the daylight, we didn't have much time at morning, so we only wanted to check the
St. Elisabeth Cathedral. And I am actually sad that we didn't stay longer, there are so many beautiful buildings that I didn't notice at all.
If you are preparing to visit be careful and don't miss anything.
Little TIP : Look up.
So, Košice were beautiful, I can say that they are a little bit more modern city than Bratislava. Traffic is okay, the train and bus station are on the same place so it's easy to orientate.
About accomodation, we rented a flat through the Airbnb.com. It was cheaper than Booking.com. Just check the review and photos and I think it will be okay.
And fooood, the most important. The evening we came, we wanted to eat everything we saw, but still we are students so we had to search for something cheap but good.
And we found one restaurant.
I'm quite mad about searching things, so I looked at every restaurant on map and I kept searching till I found this one, hidden in side street.
